Op zwart gaan akten van archieven of provincies in FamilySearch

Om toch meer te weten te komen over het eventueel op zwart gaan van de verschillende archieven of provincies heb ik een mail gestuurd en onderstaande reactie kreeg ik terug.

Het is dus waar dat er het een en ander achter een luik(je) verstopt wordt, maar zoals al in deze nieuwsgroep geschreven is, blijven er ook enkele bestaan.

"Rob - the images (and some indexed records) on FamilySearch are made available through contractual agreements with the original custodians of the records and this does include some records from the Netherlands. FamilySearch would love to offer all our digital images to the public but must abide by the constraints of the contracts we negotiate. It is at the request of some Dutch Archives, like the Gemeentearchief te Rotterdam, that FamilySearch requires a log-in to view some images."
